Summit Climbing Co.

Climbing waiver and release of liability

Sample

I understand that climbing has risks, including falls and injuries, even when everyone is careful. I accept those risks.

I agree to use electronic records and signatures.

Try it: draw your signature.

From paper to signed in three steps

No training, no hardware, and no app for your customers to install.

  1. 1Pick a template

Start from one of 15 plain-language waivers and consent forms, or paste your own text. Add the questions you need.

  2. 2Share the link

Text or email the signing link, print the QR poster for your door, or open kiosk mode on a tablet.

  3. 3Check people in

Type a few letters of a name at the desk. You see at once if their waiver is valid, expired, or revoked.

Know who is covered in two seconds

Search by name, email, or phone. Every person shows a clear status, and one tap records the check-in.

  • Status in color and in words. Valid, expired, or revoked. Staff never have to guess.
  • Families on one record. Children signed for by a parent show under the parent.
  • A log of every visit. Each check-in is saved with the time and the staff member.

A record that holds up

Every signature becomes a PDF with a certificate page: the exact text and version signed, the time, the IP address and device, the signer's consent to electronic records, and a SHA-256 fingerprint.

Anyone can check a reference code on the verification page. Personal details stay private.

Built around the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA: consent to electronic records, a clear intent to sign, and a copy for the signer. Have your lawyer review your waiver text.

Everything the front desk needs

No add-ons and no per-signature fees. Paid plans include all of it.

  • Minors and guardians

A parent signs once for every child, with names and dates of birth.

  • Your own questions

Add text, dates, dropdowns, initials, and checkboxes to any waiver.

  • Drawn or typed signatures

Signers draw with a finger or type their name. Both are stored the same way.

  • Five signing languages

English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. Pages, buttons, and emails follow your template.

  • Waivers that expire

Set a waiver to expire after a year. Returning customers sign again.

  • A copy for every signer

Signers get their PDF by email, without asking the front desk.

  • Your brand

Your logo and colors on signing pages and emails, with no WaiverTap badge.

  • Roles for your team

Owners, admins, and front-desk staff each see what they need.

  • CSV export

Download every record for your accountant, insurer, or CRM.

  • Webhooks

Send each new signature to Zapier, Make, or your own system.

  • AI drafting

Describe your activity and get a first draft of a waiver to edit.

  • Audit log

See who published, revoked, or exported what, and when.

Questions

Are digital waivers legally binding?

In the United States, the ESIGN Act and UETA generally give electronic signatures the same legal effect as handwritten ones when the signer consents to electronic records and clearly intends to sign. WaiverTap records that consent and intent in an audit trail. Whether a specific waiver is enforceable depends on its wording and your local law, so have a lawyer review your text.

How is WaiverTap different from other waiver software?

Most waiver tools charge by the number of signed waivers. WaiverTap charges a flat monthly price with unlimited signatures on paid plans, and you can be live in about five minutes with a ready-made template.

Do customers need to download an app?

No. Customers sign in their phone's browser by tapping a link or scanning a QR code. For a front-desk tablet, open the kiosk link in the tablet's browser.

Can parents sign for their children?

Yes. On Pro and Business plans, a parent or legal guardian adds each child's name and date of birth and confirms they are the guardian.

What happens to my records if I cancel?

You can export everything to CSV and download PDFs before you cancel. On the Free plan your records stay available.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes one live template and 25 signed waivers per month, with PDF copies and check-in. Upgrade any time.
